LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Leadership training is an integral part of our educational program. Our participants
learn how to do relational meetings, how to identify and research an issue, and
how to take effective action to bring about change. Training is based on the principles
of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the oldest and largest community organizing
group in the United States.

COMMUNITY
ORGANIZING
The Maura Clarke-Ita Ford Center is a member of
a large community organization called East Brooklyn Congregations (EBC). Participants
of the MCIF center have the opportunity to attend EBC training sessions, planning
meetings, and actions. Participants have worked toward change in bilingual education,
reduction of illegal drugs, and development of small schools. |
